TOMS began as a footwear-orientated brand famed for providing a niche product to a wide scope of consumers. The concept began in 2006. 2006 saw Blake Mycoskie, Founder, witness a reality that required change. A visit to Argentina spurred Mycoskie to create TOMS Shoes, alongside the ‘One for One’ campaign, with every purchase allowing a child in need to receive a pair of shoes. TOMS’ aid is not the only aspect of their business to expand globally. The brand has also developed their production to produce ranges of eyewear, clothing and accessories for both men and women. With an abundance of colours, fabrics and styles to suit appropriate seasons, it is evident that the ethical incentive is not the sole reason for the brand’s success.
