Since appearing in Almost Famous and 500 Days of Summer, Zooey Deschanel – star of the hit sitcom New Girl – has become the queen of quirky fashion. She totally inspires with her feminine, retro style. Known for vintage dresses, tights and adorable hair accessories, Zooey’s look is simple to copy with everyday wear.

For her casual looks, Zooey wears playful dresses, cute bags and girly accessories. To translate Zooey’s style to your everyday wardrobe, try wearing a ruffled blouse with a short skater skirt and drape a pastel cardigan around your shoulders. Add a lady-like bag and some  flat pumps or Mary Janes and you’ll have nailed Zooey’s effortless look. Stock up on black tights, fun jewellery, hair bows and anything else that will add some extra “Zooey charm”.

On the red carpet, Zooey shows off a more glamorous, “old Hollywood” side. Think 50s retro glam and try a vibrant circle dress with nipped in waist and peep-toe heels. Finish the look with a dazzling clutch and a pop of red lipstick for that vintage vibe.

Here’s how to get her look…
