Pale Shades Spring Summer 2012 TrendPale, pastel shades are not only clean and modern, they also provide a welcome breath of fresh air to your wardrobe, perfect for this time of year.

So ditch the garish shades and settle into subtle tones. From ice blue to mint green, picking out pale shades can complement your natural complexion and flatter your tan. Designers have fallen for the trend too; Ralph Lauren has mixed-up blue, green and rose-pink shades to create a wonderfully light and sophisticated look and DKNY created a laidback feminine effect using delicious pale pinks.

From outfits styled completely with washed-out shades, to single pieces such as jeans or an oversized tee, pastels are extremely versatile – and you’ll be wearing them all summer long.
