One of the best things about spring – apart from the sunnier days of course – is perusing all the new styles and trends and planning your spring wardrobe. Let’s take a look at the AllSaints SS11 Lookbook and see what’s cooking.

Marvel Shirt

Buttoned Up Shirts

A shirt buttoned up to the collar is such an easy way to create a memorable look. One of the best things about going for classic androgynous looks like this is that they are subtle yet still sexy. It’s a look that says you’re confident enough not to need to expose lots of skin. Tucked in creates a smooth neat line, or leave un-tucked if you’re feeling a little more rock ‘n roll and rebellious.

All Saints Tapered Chinos

Tapered Chinos

Despite the return of the 70s flare, if you want to go for a more understated minimalist look then the neutral tapered chino is ideal. Not only is the chino a much-needed alternative to ubiquitous jeans (let’s face it, who’s not guilty of living in their skinny denims these days?) but it’s the perfecto solution if you want to nail being both smart and casual. Dress down with a slubby vest and sandals or dress up with a blouse and heels. See, easy.

Leather Jacket

The Leather Jacket

No self-respecting wardrobe can afford to be without a black leather jacket of some description. The asymmetric fastening on this deconstructed style is the perfect twist for spring. Rather than go all biker chic the trick to wearing a leather jacket is to pair its toughness with something soft and feminine. Flung over a floral print maxi dress is the obvious option – as well as being a perennial fashion editor favourite – or you could try teaming it with a super-prim pussy bow blouse and denim shorts.

All Saints Cream Blouse

Cream Blouses

Call it a personal obsession if you like, but cream blouses are really doing it for me at the moment. They just ooze relaxed classic chic and with so little effort. The neutral colour means they complement practically anything you choose to wear them with and their touch of formality means you can pair them with something a lot more casual and scruffy, like fringed denim cut-offs or super skinny jeans or go for a much smarter look with chinos or a long skirt.
