Afrocentric Tribal Trend SS12Prints are turning to the wild side this season with an array of bold animal designs, tribal sketches and intricate beading available from all the leading high street labels.

On the catwalk, Roberto Cavalli created a stunning mixture of tiger and leopard prints, Donna Karan plumped for bold Aztec designs and Alberta Ferretti took a laidback safari approach to the trend with casual cuts in rustic earth tones.

However you interpret the Afrocentric trend, think big and bold; a chunky knit Aztec jumper is perfect for spring and an over-embellished shift dress inspired by tribal patterns is a summer sensation.
